Go figure, I did this once and it did not publish. Now I will try again. I am trying a new method of madness. I bought a book, Quilts of a Different Color, and really wanted to try this. About a month ago, I did the quilting on this. I did it on my trusty Bernina 630 with the BSR foot on.
Then I rinsed out the blue marker and it took two days to dry on top of the hot tub. Then I started to color it with color pencils and then used fabric medium over that. The good part of that is you can go over it as many times as you want as long as you treat it with the medium between each coloring. It really is good fun to do and I want to see my friends do it too.
The right picture is of the first attempt at coloring. Then a few days later, I did one petal on the flower. That was about three weeks ago and life got in the way. Today I colored the rest of the flower petals but now know that I used different pencils for the other petals. But, I will go over that a little and fix it up and you will not know.

Changes

Thought as long as I was in the mood, I would change the layout a little. Hope you are all well with that. I spent some of this afternoon preparing some Dear Jane blocks. I have two rows of that quilt done. I am using Inklingo to do the sashing. I think it will be big enough not to need borders, but will look at that when I get a little further on this project.

I think I need to finish a few of these projects before I start another. I am also working on a challenge for the St Cloud Quilt Group. We had to draw a crayon and use that color somewhere on our wall hanging which will be 25 inches square. The other rule is that some of it be paper pieced. I have the background paper pieced and am appliqueing over that. I have the design ready and some of the applique done but need a little help. That help will be from Cousin Pris in Chicago when I go there next week.

Sooo long

Wow, I can't believe that it has been this long since I posted on my blog. Hang in there, I will get a picture or two and a few more comments soon.
